Sheldon Peck had word Sunday of the serious illness of Mrs. J. L. Gardner, death occurring at 10:30 Monday morning of a paralytic stroke at the Old Folks Home in Omaha. The funeral will be held in Omaha at 10:30 today and the body brought here on the afternoon train for interment by the side of her husband. Sarah Loomis was born in Belfast, N. Y., over 80 years ago and was married to Joseph L, Gardner at Brooksville, Pa., when she was but 17 years of age. They moved to this city about twenty years ago, where he died some ten years ago. Three years ago she went to make her home in Omaha. They had no children. Mrs. Sheldon Peck was a sister, and there is one sister still living, Mrs. A. S. Armstrong, of Omaha, the last of the family.
