MANY ATTEND RITES FOR MRS. A. G. JENSEN

Anna Wulf Jensen was born May 31, 1880 on a farm west of Blair in the Orum neighborhood where she was reared to maturity. She was christened and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Orum.

She was married on March 14th, 1900 to Andrew G. Jensen and immediately moved with her husband to the farm where she passed away. After a residence of nine years on the farm they moved to a home in Blair east of Dana college that the two sons might have the opportunity of a high school education. After the sons had become high school graduates, the family moved to Fremont where the husband was elected to represent Dodge county in the state legislature. A year ago last April the family returned to the beautiful farm home which proved to be the first and last home of the deceased as the wife of A. G. Jensen.

Mrs. Jensen had spent most of her life in the vicinity west of Blair and had formed many lasting friendships that carry on through life and then become memories never to be forgotten. She spent two months in Lincoln while her husband served in the last legislative session and made many new friends there, many of whom were present at the funeral ceremonies.

In her neighborhood she took part in the social activities and was for years a member of the Thursday Afternoon Papio club in which she took much interest. She loved her neighbors and friends and idolized her family and was an ideal wife and mother.

She was stricken on February 26th and never recovered, and in spite of all that loving hands and anxious hearts could do, she grew weaker and slipped peacefully away on May 29.

Deceased was a consistent member of the Baptist church, and her old pastor, Rev. C. M. Foreman of Sioux Falls, South Dakota was called to give the funeral oration in the presence of an exceptional large attendance of neighbors, relatives, friends and men of note who had served with the husband in the legislature.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, A. G. Jensen of Blair, her sons, Harland and Raymond and their wives, Eleanor and Leola, four grandchildren, Patricia Katherine, Ann Genene, Nancy Lou and Allen Gordon, all of Schuyler, an aged mother, Mrs. Wiebke Wulf of Blair, three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Henry L. Kuhr of Blair, Mrs. Carl C. Reeh of Blair, Mrs. William Kuhr of Blair, Detluf Wulf of the Rose Hill neighborhood and Fred Wulf of the Orum vicinity, besides many other friends and relatives. Her father preceded her in death, having passed away about 45 years ago.

AN APPRECIATION: Mere words cannot express our appreciation for the many acts of kindness shown during the illness and death of our dear wife and mother. We wish to expressly thank those who sent the beautiful floral offerings and those who furnished the music and Mr. Corey, of Schuyler for his public speaking system and Governor Bryan and wife for their sympathetic telegram which they sent.

A.G. Jensen; Mr. and Mrs. Harland Jensen and family; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jensen and family.
