The remains of the late Solomon Myers arrived from Savannah, Ill., last Saturday and the funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. from the Adventist church, after which the remains were interred in the Blair cemetery. Mr. Myers was a former resident of this vicinity and was well known and respected by all for his many manly qualities. Deceased was born in New York state 78 years ago where he resided until he became a young man. In 1842 he was married to Miss Phoebe Williams and soon afterward moved to Illinois. Five children blessed this union, all of whom are living: Mrs. M. A. Clark and Mrs. E. M. Fulton of this city; Mrs. Emma Greenwood of Burt county; J. M. Myers of California; and M. W. Myers of Oregon. Mr. Myers was twice married and in 1865 he moved to Decatur, this state, where he resided for twelve years prior to moving to Blair. About two years ago he left this place and went to Savannah, Ill., where he resided at the time of his death.

The body of Solomon Myers was shipped from Savanna, Illinois, to Blair last Friday for burial. Mr. Meyers was the father of Mrs. A.W. Clark and Mrs. Ira Fulton, both of this city. The funeral services were held in Blair Saturday.
