Services for Phyllis Mae McManigal, 67 of Blair who died December 30, 1995 at Immanuel Medical Center of cancer of the liver and pancreas, after a 15 month illness, were Wednesday, January 3 at First Methodist Church in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Phyllis Mae McManigal was born September 30, 1928 in Pisgah, Iowa. She graduated from high school in Modale, Iowa.

She married Joe McManigal in 1953.

She worked in various positions at Dana College, joining the Dana family in September of 1966. She also gave of herself and opened her home to students, becoming “Mom” to them. At the time she retired in July of 1990, she was administrative assistant to the dean of students.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Joe; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Tammy and Howard and Rita; four grandchildren, Justin, Kelly Joe, Kurtis and Connie; a brother and sister-in-law, Monte and JoAnn Brinker, Ralston; a sister and brother-in-law, Alicia and Bryce Lee, Soldier, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Jane Rolan, Des Moines, Iowa; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
