Agnes McMillan Died At Hospital Last Friday

Miss Agnes McMillan, lifelong Blairite, died last Friday, July 11th at Blair Community Hospital. Except for the last two months of her life, she had lived in Blair. She had lived for two months at the Bellevue Leisure Manor at Bellevue.

Miss McMillan was born at Blair September 4th, 1889. She grew up here was a graduate of Blair High School and spent virtually her entire adult life as a clerk in Blair stores. Her most recent place of employment was at the B & C Shop.

She became a member of the old First Presbyterian church which has been out of existence here for nearly fifty years. The church stood on the corner of Twentieth and Washington Streets on ground which is now a parking lot for the Trinity Lutheran Church. Although the church did not function, she never changed her affiliation to any other church.

She is survived by ten nieces and nephews. They are: Bob McMillan and Neil McMillan both of Blair; Mrs. Charles Williams and Mrs. John Ruedenz, of Omaha; Mrs. Mary Farnberg, of Tucson, Arizona; Mrs. Dorothy Froehlich of Ft. Calhoun; Burt McMillan of Torrance, Calif.; Mrs. Edwin Hamilton of Holdrege, Nebr. and Betty and Virginia Holloway of Los Angeles.

Funeral services were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home Monday, July 14th and burial was made in the Blair cemetery.

Pallbearers were Al Sick, Ted Stewart, Herb Kolterman, Fred Guyer, Neil and Bob McMillan.
