Mrs. Bruce McMillan Died At Her Home Monday, Sept. 20

Nora Edna McMillan, 91-year-old Blair resident, died at her home at 849 South 16th street last Monday. She was 91 years of age.

Mrs. McMillan came to Blair with her family as a young girl and had spent nearly all of her life in Blair. She was born at Salem, Indiana on May 2, 1882.

She was married to the late Bruce McMillan on June 25th, 1910 at Tekamah, Nebraska. The couple settled in Blair at once where Mr. McMillan was a postal mail clerk. He will be remembered by many of the older residents of the area.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter. The sons are Bert D. McMillan, of Torrence, California and Robert B. McMillan of Blair. The daughter is Mrs. Edwin L. Hamilton (Helen) of Holdredge, Nebraska.

There are 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Mrs. McMillan was a member of the first Baptist Church of Blair and had been a member for 74 years. She was the oldest living member of the church.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Metzgar conducting the service. Burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.
