Services for Robert Bruce McMillan, 82, of Blair, who died October 20, 1993 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha were Saturday, October 23 at First Baptist Church of Blair. Rev. Noel R. McLaren officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Robert B. McMillan was born June 30, 1911 in Blair, Nebraska to Bruce and Nora Day McMillan.

He graduated from Blair High School in 1929. Upon graduation, he became an employee of the Blair Post Office. In 1942, he took a leave of absence from the Post Office to fulfill his military obligation with the U.S. Army during World War II.

He returned to his home in Blair October 22, 1945 and resumed his position with the Blair Post Office, retiring in 1966 at age 55.

He was recently honored as a 70 year member of the First Baptist Church of Blair, where he had served in various capacities during those years.

He was preceded in death by his father Bruce and mother, Nora.

He is survived by his brother, Bert D. McMillan of Fallbrook, California and his sister, Helen Hamilton of Holdrege, Nebraska. He is also survived by six nephews and two nieces.

Pallbearers were Clyde Sappenfield, Ray Sonderup, James Hancock, Gil Garner, Jack Chapman and Raymond Wilson.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
