Jennie B. McMullin, 85, of Blair, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998, at Crowell Memorial Home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah, who is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be in the Craig Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Devin McMullin, Todd and Ryan Zessin, Brad and Nathan Lund and Allan Bruns.

Jennie Burnette Lester was born to W. W. “Wally” and Katie (Kimball) Lester on Feb. 24, 1913, in rural Craig.

She grew up and spent most of her life in Burt county.

On June 1, 1929, she married Marion McMullin.

They lived in Burt county until 1967 when they moved to a home near Park Rapids, Minn.

Mr. McMullin died May 7, 1990. Mrs. McMullin moved to Tekamah to be near her family.

In August of 1996, she moved to Crowell Home.

She is survived by a son, Jack M. McMullin and fiancée, Marilyn Skorpik, of Champlin, Minn.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jennie and Bob Tichota of Blair, Peggy and Heber Memmott of Nephi, Utah, and Joan and Larry Zessin of Tekamah; a brother, Jack Lester of Interlachen, Fla.; a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Harry Johnson of Fremont; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marion; an infant daughter, Vonda Lee; an infant granddaughter, Jennie Lynne Tichota; a grandson, Monte Kay Lund; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Evalene and Clarence Freeman and Dorlene and Oscar Bunderson; a brother and sister-in-law, W. R. “Waddy” and Lorraine Lester and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Lester.
