SERVICES HELD FOR ARLINGTON WOMAN’S KIN
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 7, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont for Ben J. Dirkschneider, 83, of Fremont who died June 5, 1983 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont.
The Rev. Charles Swanson officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery at Fremont.
Ben J. Dirkschneider was born June 23, 1899 in Dodge. A retired farmer, he farmed in the Dodge area until moving to Fremont in 1956.
He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles, both in Fremont; and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters at Olean.
He married Anna Mueller February 22, 1921. She died January 30, 1942. He married Elnora Bayer in February 3, 1951. She died August 9, 1971.
He then married Delores Hoesing on March 22, 1975 in Fremont. She survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Evelyn) Tresnak of Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. Carl (Luella) Wallingford of Fremont; and Mrs. Marilyn Kriz of Dodge; one stepson, Robert Hoesing of Houston, Texas; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ray (Bette) Rowe of O’Neill and Mrs. William (Beverly) Chappelear of Arlington; one brother, Alois of Howells; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 15 step-grandchildren.
Moser Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
