Services for Earl Sheets Held in Herman

Services for 84 year old Earl “Kinky” Francis Sheets were held on Monday afternoon, March 31, in Herman, Nebraska. Mr. Sheets died on March 27th, 1980, at his home in Herman.

The funeral services were at the First Baptist Church, in Herman, with Rev. Barbara Schenkel and Rev. Marion Loftis officiating. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Funeral Home.

Mr. Sheets was born in Burt County near Herman, Nebraska on June 24, 1895. He had been a farm laborer and never married. He lived in Herman all his life.

He is survived by two brothers and four sisters. They are: George Sheets, Sr., Blair; Elmer Sheets, Tekamah; Goldie Yowell, Herman; Mary Jenson, Ontario, Oregon; Mardelle Scarlett, Blair; Dorothy Metzler, Blair.

Pallbearers were: Clarence Sheets, Bob Sheets, Darrel Metzler, Kenneth Kleen, Ervin Sheets, and Delwin Nelson.
