Mildred L. Sheets, 84

Mildred L. Sheets, 84, of Fremont, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 17, in the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel. Interment was in the Ridge Cemetery.

Mildred L. Lass was born May 8, 1922, on the family farm east of Fremont to Hans and Anna (Kuhrts) Lass. She grew up on the farm and attended rural school, helping her parents until she married.

On Dec. 15, 1945, she married Gerald Sheets in Marysville, Kan. They lived in several different communities in the area including Tekamah and Fremont, where her husband worked for the Department of Utilities. Mrs. Sheets was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald; son, Garry Sheets of Fremont; daughters and sons-in-law, Althea and Dennis Decker of Arlington, and Phyllis and Bill Green of Fremont; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son and two sisters.

A memorial will be established.
