Walter H. Gosker, 94, of Fremont, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at Arbor Manor in Fremont.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Vacoma Cemetery, northeast of Arlington.

Visitation began Monday, and will also be held one hour prior to services on Tuesday.

Walter H. Gosker was born Oct. 20, 1915, in rural Blair to Henry H. and Bertha (Fischer) Gosker. He grew up on a farm northwest of Blair. He attended rural Neff and Rose Hill Schools.

He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Vacoma.

Mr. Gosker was a lifelong farmer. He served as the treasurer of the Vacoma Cemetery Association. In his later years, he lived at the Pathfinder House and then at Arbor Manor in Fremont.

He is survived by several cousins and special friends, Melvin, Lois and Gary Giesselmann of Arlington.

He was preceded in death by an infant sibling.
