Services for Will Sheets, Sr. Held Wednesday

Services for Will Sheets Sr., of Arlington, will be Wed., Aug. 6th at 2:00 p.m. The service will be held at the Herman Baptist Church with Rev. Zack A. Kleinsasser in charge. Burial will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Will Leonard Sheets Sr. was born on March 26, 1882 to Solomon and Elizabeth Sheets at Herman, Nebraska and passed away on Aug. 3, 1969 at his home in Arlington at the age of 87 years 4 months 8 days.

He grew to manhood in Herman and farmed for many years in that vicinity. He also farmed in the Blair and Kennard area. He lived in Washington County all his life.

He was married to Ida Weaver, who preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and a half-brother.

He was married to Mabel Lund in 1915, who survives.

He was a devoted and loving father to six sons and seven daughters. They are: Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Loges of Fremont, Mrs. Edward (Hazel )Richman of Fremont, Gerald Sheets of Fremont, Herald Sheets of Arlington, Mrs. Walter (Xona) Groves of Omaha, Milford Sheets of Arlington, Wilford Sheets of Fremont, Will Sheets Jr. of Arlington, Mrs. Leonard (Iona) Goreham of Fremont, Mrs. Leo (Inez) Goreham of Fremont, LeRoy Sheets of Central City, Nebr., Mrs. Kenneth (Loretta) Kleckner of North Bend,Nebr., and Mrs. Robert (Dorena ) Dalton of Scribner.

Forty-one grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren survive; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Bendorf Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Music will be provided by Shirley Schmidt with Kay Voss accompanying.

Pallbearers are Warren Fuhlrodt, Art Jipp, Ed Mundorf, Louis Goreham, Bill Cowan, Floyd Curley.
