Rites Held Wednesday For Mrs. Louise Pilcher

Mrs. Louise Pilcher passed away at the McBride Nursing Home October 24, 1965 following a long illness. She was 92. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from the Herman Baptist Church with Rev. Percy Bruns officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Goldy Yowell and Mrs. Eugene Husk.

Burial was in the Blair Cemetery with Charles J. Brodersen, Cameron Jackson, Joe Cameron, Kenneth Wachter, Robert Skinner and William Cameron as pallbearers.

Louise Wilson, daughter of the late Thomas R. and Mary Wilson was born June 23, 1873 at their old home nine miles west of Herman. She attended the Vacoma School and the Fremont Normal.

She was married September 2, 1896 to Edward C. Pilcher of Blair. They lived in and near Blair all of their married life. Mr. Pilcher passed away in March, 1929. After his death she took care of Mr. Pilcher’s mother, who was blind for several years prior to her death. Mrs. Pilcher then lived with her sister, Mrs. Hattie Cameron and later with another sister, Mrs. Minnie Skinner and son, James Skinner. The last few years she made her home with her niece, Ruth Jackson, Mary and Sadie Brodersen.

She was a member of the Herman Baptist Church, the Baptist Guild, The Jolly Workers Club and the Women’s Relief Corps of Blair.
