Mrs. Mary Pipher Is Dead

Notice was received yesterday by W. P. Cook of the death of Mrs. Cook’s mother, Mrs. D.W. Pipher, which occurred at the family home at Mansfield in the northwest corner of the state on last Wednesday. The family were former residents of this city for a number of years, coming here from Herman, where Mr. Pipher had charge of the Standard Oil Company’s delivery for a number of years.

A half dozen or so years ago they went up into Sioux county, on the line of the B. & M. Ry., and located on a homestead, their son Earl filing on an adjoining claim. Mrs. Pipher’s health had not been good for some years and a couple of years ago she came back to Blair for a change of climate, remaining here for some time, living opposite her daughter’s, Mrs. W.P. Cook, home on west Colfax street. Another son, Wilber lives at Crawford, the two sons and Mrs. Cook constituting the family and children.

The remains will be brought to Blair and the funeral held on Sunday at the home of W. P. Cook.
