Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Swanson Funeral Home in Valley, Nebraska for Clara Elizabeth Kuhr, widow of the late George Kuhr, Jr. The Reverend A.A. Swanson officiated.

Mrs. Kuhr was born on June 29, 1891 in Orchard, Nebraska and passed away May 13, 1978 at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha after a brief illness.

Her greatest joy in life was her family—her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Surviving Mrs. Kuhr are three sons; John Seefus of Sun City, California; Harold and Raymond Seefus, both of Valley, and one daughter, Mrs. Al (Jeanette) Johnson, also of Valley; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mary Wittenbreer and Mrs. Hattie McDonald, both of Turtle Lake, Wisconsin. Her stepchildren are J. Merton Kuhr, Mrs. Clyde (Lelah) Larson, and Mrs. Kelly (Mardelle) Ryan.

Organist for the service was Mrs. Kuhr’s granddaughter, Miss Lori Johnson. Pallbearers were her grandsons: Charles Seefus, Larry Seefus, Ronald Seefus, George Ritner, James Ryan, and Wesley West.

Interment was at Prospect Hill Cemetery near Elkhorn, Nebraska.
