George Hartwick Kuhr, 88 years of age, of 2103 Washington Street, died Saturday at Memorial Community Hospital.

Funeral services were held today (Monday) at First Lutheran Church, the Rev. George Palleson officiating with interment in Blair Cemetery.

Mr. Kuhr was born Jan. 12, 1876 on a farm near Orum, the son of the late George H. and Anne Kuhr. He farmed until he retired and moved to Blair several years ago.

Mr. Kuhr is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Harvey, Raymond, Lloyd and LeRoy Kuhr, all of Blair; daughters, Miss Viola Kuhr of Chicago. Mrs. Gustav Kahnk of Kennard and Mrs. Raymond Ruwe of Blair: sisters, Mrs. Albert Hansen of Fremont and Mrs. Carl Wolff of Peru, Nebr., 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Robert, Larry, Steven and Melvin Kuhr, Milo and Rolland Kahnk.

The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
