Mrs. Harry Platz Dies In Oregon

Mrs. Harry Platz (Amelia), 79, died recently in Portland, Oregon. She was born July 26, 1883 at Herman, Nebraska and grew up at Arlington. On December 28, 1904 she married Harry Platz at Blair and they lived at Spiker for a number of years before moving to Scottsbluff. They also lived in Torrington, Wyoming before moving to Chicago in 1948. They moved to Pendleton, Oregon last year.

Mrs. Platz was an active Christian Science practitioner until her retirement in July. The family has established a memorial to the First Church of Christ Scientist at Elmhurst, Illinois, of which Mrs. Platz was a member.

Mr. Platz preceded her in death. Two sons, Gerald M. of Champaign, Illinois and James H. of Pendleton, Oregon and a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Carter of Torrington survive their mother. Also five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Mrs. Platz is a sister-in-law of Mrs. Nora Christensen at the Crowell Memorial Home.
