Willa Mae McNair, 103, of Fort Calhoun, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery. There is no visitation.

Willa Mae McNair was born Dec. 12, 1903, in Byron, Ill. Her family moved to Tekamah when she was 3 years old, and to a farm east of Fort Calhoun when she was 7 years old.

She married Fred McNair on March 23, 1923, in Sioux City, Iowa.

Mrs. McNair was a member of the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Women’s Association, and the Washington County Historical Museum Guild.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Marion Tucker of Fort Calhoun and June and Ross Rasmussen of Allegan, Mich.; son Robert McNair of El Cajon, Calif.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, in 1981; and a grandson, Gene Lauritsen.

Memorials are suggested to the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church of the Fort Calhoun Rescue Squad.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
