SERVICES FOR ROSS DILL WILL BE MONDAY

Services for a Blair businessman, Ross John Dill, will be held Monday, June 18th. Mr. Dill died June 14th at Blair. Mr. Dill was 53 at the time of his death. He had been ill for several months with a malignancy.

Mr. Dill had been manager of the Blair Cengas office since August of 1970. He had been with the Cengas firm for many years and worked in West Point and Tekamah before being transferred to Blair. Mr. Dill started with the Cengas firm in 1946. He spent 2 years in the Civilian Conservation Corps at Madison, Nebraska, and entered the Army Air Corps in 1941, serving four years and five months.

Services have been set for 9:30 a.m. at the St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair with Father Garvey officiating and Campbell Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in the West Point Cemetery.

Ross Dill was born on September 10, 1919, at West Point, Nebraska, to Mr. and Mrs. Kimball Dill. On October 11, 1941, he and Helen Elaine Strehle were married. His wife is surviving. The Dills had two children. They are Ross A. Dill, of Sterling, Illinois; and Mary Beth Dill of Kearney, Nebraska. Sisters are: Gail Brahmer of Wisner and Betty Gling of West Point. One surviving brother is Warren Dill of Wayne, Nebraska. Mr. Dill’s mother, Mrs. Mame Dill, also survives.

Mr. Dill was an active member of the Blair Chamber of Commerce, St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Arlington Community Club and the Blair Lions Club.

Pallbearers will be Bruno Batenhorst, Russ Sila, Ray Hagedorn, Marvin Stier, Philip McVeigh and Harley Rennerfeldt.
