Judy Pofahl, 67

Judy Pofahl, 67, of Fort Calhoun, died Friday, June 18, 2010, in Omaha.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Judy Tinsley was born April 7, 1943, in Gordon to Jim and Dorothy Tinsley.

On April 27, 1963, she married Butch Pofahl in Clearwater. After her marriage, she lived in Bartlette from 1963 to 1985; then lived in Estes Park, Colo., from 1985 to 1991; Denver, Colo., from 1991 to 1994; Castlerock, Colo., from 1995 to 1996; and finally settled in Fort Calhoun.

Mrs. Pofahl loved the Nebraska Cornhuskers, playing the “tunnel walk” repeatedly, before and after a game; cooking for her family, especially her homemade macaroni and cheese, which was repeatedly requested by her six grandchildren; and, most of all, dancing with the loved of her life, to the point where the two of them would clear the dance floor.

She is survived by her husband, Butch; daughter, Kim Toft of Denver, Colo., and children, Trevor and Cheyenne; sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Rhonda Pofahl and children, Tyler and Bailey, Scott Pofahl, and Brett and Tricia Pofahl and children Chase and Layne, all of Omaha; mother, Dorothy Tinsley of Neligh; brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Judy Tinsley of Neligh; many other friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
