A memorial service for Melbern C. Polsley, 75 of Blair and formerly of Clarinda, Iowa who died April 22 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair will be held Tuesday, April 28 at 7 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Blair.

Services were held Saturday, April 25 at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home in Clarinda with burial in the Clarinda Cemeetery.

Melbern C. Polsley was born February 8, 1917 near Coin, Iowa to Clement G. and Lida Christie Polsley.

He married Gwendolyn Wilson October 24, 1941. They had lived in Blair for the past five years.

He had worked for Coca-Cola, the Kearney Company and had been a supervisor at MHI Hospital in Clarinda.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of the home and two sons, Larry W. Polsley and Rex L. Polsley, both of Blair. Three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and sisters, Thelma Potter of Omaha and Frances Hovermale of Coin also survive him.

Memorials may be directed to the Coin, Iowa Alumni Association or to the heart fund.

Walker-Merrick funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
