JOHN DIERKS OF BENNINGTON AREA DIED HERE MONDAY

John Dierks, a resident of the Bennington area, died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair last Monday. He was 82 years of age.

Mr. Dierks was an uncle of Mrs. John (Ruby) Forsberg of Blair. Mrs. Vince Roach, who lives south of Blair on Highway 133, is a daughter of the deceased man.

He was born on a farm a mile north of Bennington and has lived in that area all of his life.

He is survived by his wife; by his daughter, Mrs. Roach and another daughter, Evelyn who is Mrs. Norman Petersen of Omaha. A son, Marvin Dierks operates the home farm at Bennington.

Mrs. Dora Rosenbaum, of Kennard, is a sister. Another sister is Mrs. Phil Cocran of Denver. He is also survived by two brothers, Hans Dierks of Seattle, Washington and Henry, of Denver.

The funeral is being held this afternoon (Thursday) from St. John’s Lutheran church at Bennington, 2 p.m.
