DEATH OF MISS EMMA DIERKS

Well known Fremont lady passes away at the home of her sister, Miss Emma Dierks following an illness which first asserted itself last June, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday at the home of her sister, Mrs. August Eichstadt.

Funeral services will be held at Salem Lutheran Church at 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Miss Dierks was a most devout church worker and was held in the highest esteem. Born in January, 1864, in Illinois, she came with her parents in 1870 to Fremont. The following sisters and brother survive her: Mrs. J. W. Davis, Grand Island; Mrs. L. Kreymborg, Mrs. Fred Moller, Mrs. A. F. Eichstadt and Gerhard A. Dierks, all of Fremont.

Owing to the seriousness of Miss Dierks’ condition, she was brought home from a hospital in Omaha, where she had been under treatment, this week. - - - Fremont Tribune

Miss Dierks was a resident of Fremont for forty-two years. The funeral which was held from the Salem Lutheran Church, was very largely attended, Rev. Schuldt preached a most eloquent sermon. The flowers were profuse. A large automobile being required to carry them to the cemetery. - - - Ed.
