FORMER TELBASTA MAN IS BURIED AT OGALLALA

Funeral services were held in Ogallala for William F. “Willy” Diedrich, 42, of Brule who died September 8, 1981 in Denver after a brief illness.

William F. Diedrich was born January 21, 1939 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and attended grade school in Connecticut. He graduated from Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, after which he entered the Air Force.

After leaving the service, he married Rose Schafersman, originally from Telbasta, on November 27, 1960 at Telbasta.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ, First Congregational, of Ogallala and the Ogallala Elks Lodge. He was also a member of the Keith County Planning Commission, an instructor for the 4-H Rifle Club and was active with the Big Mac Trailblazers.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; and one son, Clark Diedrich, Ogallala. His father, Frank Dietrich of Sun City, Arizona, also survives him.

Memorials may be given to the Keith County 4-H Rifle Club.
