LEONE R. DICKINSON

DICKINSON, Leone R. - - 82, of Winston passed away Thursday, June 15, 1989 at her home. She was born May 17, 1907 in Sumner, Washington, daughter of Edward L. and ______ (unreadable) Gregg Raver. She was raised in Nebraska, where she attended and graduated from Wayne State College. She taught school in Nebraska, before moving to Winston in 1948. She attended college at Southern Oregon and The University of Oregon. She was a teacher in the Roseburg School District for 17 years before retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Winston-Dillard United Methodist Church. She was also active in the Friendly Kitchen Club and the Pinochle Club. Survivors include two sons, Gregg Dickinson of Winston and Fred Dickinson of Albany; three sisters, Nadine Weeks of Spring Valley, California; Edyth Skeoch of ____________(unreadable), California; and Lucille Johnson of Fremont, Nebraska; three brothers, Donald Raver of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Bill of Omaha, Nebraska; and Vange of Spring Valley, California; three grandsons, Todd Dickinson of Albany; Chris Dickinson of Seattle; and Lynn Dickinson of Eugene; four granddaughters, Paige Dickinson of Winston; Dawn Dickinson of Pleasant Hill, California; Kip Beckner of Albany and Dynette Dickinson of Germany; a great-grandson, Brandon Beckner of Albany; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, at the Winston-Dillard United Methodist Church with Pastor Bill Hare officiating. Arrangements under the direction of TAYLOR’S FAMILY MORTUARY.
