Mary Maude Shelledy Dies in Blair

Graveside services at Okoboji Cemetery in Arnolds Park, Iowa, are Thursday, August 6, at 10:30 a.m. for Mary Maude Shelledy, 93, who died August 3, 1981, at Crowell Home in Blair.

Memorial services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Paullina, Iowa, Presbyterian Church. Rev. Alvin Goldhorn is conducting the services.

Mary Maude Shelledy was born April 9, 1888, at Pomeroy, Iowa, to Jacob Lory and Elizabeth Kiefer Williams. She was married to Dr. James Edwin Shelledy. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary S. Lueder, Omaha, and Elizabeth S. Peterson, Paullina, Iowa, and three sons, Gordon F. Shelledy, Phoenix, Arizona; J.E. Shelledy, Jr., York, Nebraska; and Wm. R. Shelledy, Greybull, Wyoming. One sister, Elsie Thomas, Mason City, Iowa; 21 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren also survive her.

Pallbearers are Gordon Shelledy, J.E. Shelledy, Jr., Wm. R. Shelledy, Dr. Phillip Peterson and Robert G. Lueder.

Marilyn Ewoldt is organist. Marj Seltman and Robert Rohwer are vocalists.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
