Murray Shelton, 75

Services for Murray Shelton, 75, of Blair who died at Memorial Community Hospital February 7 will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 10 at the Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Murray Shelton was born in Burlington Junction, Missouri November 23, 1917 to Francis and Delka Mae McClelland Shelton. He moved to Cole Camp, Missouri when he was a senior in high school.

After graduation, he worked for the Corps of Engineers for ten years. He then worked for Kris Peterson & Sons for a number of years.

He later worked for Wilkinson Manufacturing. He retired from Wilkinson’s in 1982 after 30 years as a plant manager. He was the first licensed welder in the state of Nebraska.

He married Pat Steffen. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Mark Shelton-Martens of Omaha; a daughter, Pam of Blair; a sister, Charlotte Pennington of Red Oak, Iowa; three step-sisters, Eva Mae Powers, Maryville, Missouri; Margaret White of Burlington Junction, and Mary Ellen White of Maryville and a step-brother, Rube Winslow of Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
