Services were Saturday, Jan. 18 at Kremer Funeral Home in Omaha for Frank M. Shepherd, 76, of Omaha, who died Jan. 15, 1997 in Omaha. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post No. 1.

Frank M. Shepherd was born June 6, 1920 in Lincoln.

“Shep”, as he was known, served in World War II in the Army on the Aircraft Carrier USS Cabot. He was a member of the Blair Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

He retired from the H.J. Heinz Co. after 40 years.

He was preceded in death by a son, Roger Shepherd.

He is survived by his wife, Charleen; three sons, Larry, Gary and Ronald, all of Omaha; brothers, Bob of Mayer, Ariz. , and Ted of Omaha; a sister, Betty Jo Donato, Plattsmouth, Nebr.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
