Hortense Sherarron, 71

Services for Hortense Sherarron, 71 of Rural Route 5, Omaha were Friday, March 1 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Omaha. Fr. Czarnecki, S.J. officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Rosary was held Thursday, February 28 at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home.

Hortense Sherarron was born May 20, 1919 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma to Robert Lewis and Georgia Geraldine Slaughter Jones. She married Arzo James Sherarron in 1945 in Omaha.

She was an accountant until she retired.

She was a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Omaha.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Arzo James.

She is survived by two daughters, Sonja Merriweather and Marie Holiday; a son, Aaron Sherarron; and a sister, Mary Snead Norman.

Pallbearers were Arthur Justus, Sr., Lynwood Parker, Eddie Rollerson, Tim Rollerson, Burton Walker and Albert Patterson.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
