Harvey Nelson Kuhr, a native of Blair died in Idylwood Care Center in Sunnyvale, California May 9, 1995. There were no memorial services. His body will be cremated and the ashes scattered at sea.

He was born May 17, 1911.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dana College in Blair and an LL.B degree from the University of Michigan in 1938.

He was a claim adjuster for Allstate Insurance Company in Los Angeles and San Diego.

He served in the Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946. After his military services, he returned to San Diego and resumed his work at Allstate. He transferred to the Atlanta Regional office as claim manager and then moved to Roanoke, Virginia as resident manager of Zone office in Menlo Park, California in 1955, retiring in 1972.

He was a member of the Palo Alto Elks Lodge, Sons in Retirement, the Stanford Golf Club and the Navy League of the United States.

He is survived by his wife, Edie of Los Altos; a son, Dennis Nelson Kuhr of Half Moon Bay, California; a sister, Verna Kniep of Blair; a brother, Jack Kuhr of Blair and many nieces, nephews and cousins in NE.

The family suggests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Research or the charity of the giver’s choice.
