Dorothy Ann Wiese, 95, of Blair, died Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Crowell Home in Blair.

Memorial services are currently pending with Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Following her wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes will be interred in the German Cemetery south of Blair at a later date. No graveside services are planned.

Dorothy Ann Wiese was born Nov. 1, 1918, to Rudolph Wiese Sr. and Tina (Harder) Wiese on the family farm southeast of Kennard. She was educated at Peaceful Hill Country School located near the family farm. After completing school, she remained on the farm caring for her ailing mother and father until they died.

She then went to work in Omaha for the Enron Corporation and retired from Enron in 1984.

She returned to the family farm and cared for her ailing sister-in-law, Ada, and her two brothers, Henry and Art Wiese. She moved from the family farm to Blair in December 1995.

In 2009, she moved to Crowell Memorial Home where she lived until her death.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Herman, August, Art, Clarence, Asmus and Henry; and her sister, Christina.
