Services Are Held Tuesday For Henry Kniep

Henry A. Kniep, 77, of Bennington, died Saturday, July 26, in an Omaha hospital.

Mr. Kniep was born December 11, 1902, in Washington County and was a lifelong Bennington area resident.

Survivors include his wife, Verna Kniep; son, Thomas, Poplar Grove, Illinois; daughter, Mrs. Clayton (Carol) Snover, Ames; brother, Walter F. Kniep, Bridgewater, Iowa; sisters, Mrs. Elton (Ann) Edmondson, Mesa, Arizona; and Mrs. Ted (Mabel) Witt, Elkhorn; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, July 29, at 1:30 p.m. in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington. The Rev. Norman Schroeder conducted the services. Burial was in the German Cemetery in Bennington.

Memorials may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church or the Bennington Rescue Squad.

Haden-Golden Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
