Mrs. Scott Allen, formerly Miss Adele McPherson, has received word of the killing of her brother, Will, in Denver last Saturday night, by two boys, Edward Siewald, aged 19, and Oscar Cook, also a minor, who were attempting to rob a saloon. Cook shot McPherson three times, and then opened fire on Lloyd, the saloon keeper, killing them both on the spot. Both the boys were drunk and when Siewald saw what his pal had done, making him an accomplice to the murder of two men, he opened fire on him, wounding him so he can’t live. McPherson was a patrolman on the Denver police force and had passed the civil service examination to become a detective. He leaves a wife, to whom he was married about four years ago, who with his mother, Mrs. A. McPherson, will bring the body here the last of the week for burial on January 3rd, and just one week later her half-brother, Chas. Verdan, was brought here to be laid by his side. Now her brother has met an untimely death and will be brought here the last of the week. Will was a Mason and the Denver lodge to which he belonged has sent word to the local lodge to give him proper Masonic burial. He was 35 years of age the 26th of February.
