GLADYS O. DICKMEYER

Gladys O. Dickmeyer, 86, of Arlington, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at her home.

Services were at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington. Burial was in the Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Gladys O. Rosenbaum was born Jan. 14, 1913, to William and Anna (Nielsen) Rosenbaum in Kennard.

On July 28, 1961, she married Alfred H. Dickmeyer in Arlington. The couple lived in Arlington since 1961, and operated a tavern there for several years.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church; the American Legion Post #366 Auxiliary of Kennard; and the V.F.W. Post #8332 Auxiliary of Arlington.

She is survived by three step-sons and two daughters-in-law, Ronald and Carol Dickmeyer of Omaha; Steven and Joan Dickmeyer of Lincoln; and Pat Dickmeyer of Omaha; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Larry Graver of Arlington; and Vicky and Dan Shurtleff of Green River, Wyo.; a brother and sister-in-law, Merritt and Dorothy Rosenbaum of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Selma Allison of Decatur; 14 step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three daughters and one son, and four brothers and four sisters.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington was in charge of arrangements.
