SERVICES FOR AMELIA DICKMEYER WILL BE ON FRIDAY MORNING

Services for 90 year old Mrs. Amelia Dickmeyer will be on Friday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Pauls’ Lutheran Church north of Arlington.

She died Tuesday, May 29 at Arbor Manor Nursing Home in Fremont. Mrs. Dickmeyer was born on June 27, 1888, in Arlington.

Pastor Robert Backhus will officiate with burial in the St. Paul’s Cemetery under the direction of the Reckmeyer Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dickmeyer was born on June 27, 1888 at Arlington, Nebraska to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kruger. She was married on December 22, 1909 to the late Joseph F. Dickmeyer. He died on September 1, 1954.

Surviving daughters are: Mrs. Paul (Laura) Rhine of Goodman, Missouri; Mrs. Harry (Nlorma) Gillham of Covina, California; and Mrs. Evelyn Pallen of Fremont.

Sisters are Mary Scheer, Leona Stork, and Anna Kruger. The brothers are Henry and William Kruger.

Also surviving are five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, member of Women’s League of St. Paul’s Church and a charter member of the Bell Creek Sewing Circle.

Memorials are being suggested to the St. Paul’s Church.

Visitation is on Thursday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Reckmeyer Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

AMELIA A. DICKMEYER

Amelia A. Dickmeyer was born June 27, 1888 at Arlington, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Fred and Maria (Kleinebenne) Kruger. She was baptized July 8, 1888 and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith March 23, 1902 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Arlington, Nebraska. She was united in Holy Matrimony with John F. Dickmeyer on December 22, 1909, also at St. Paul’s Church.

A life-long resident of the Arlington community she was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Women’s League of St. Paul’s Church and was a charter member of the Bell Creek Sewing Circle.

Amelia passed from this life on May 28, 1979 at Arbor Manor Nursing Home in Fremont at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 1 day. She is survived by her three daughters: Mrs. Paul (Laura) Rhine of Goodman, Missouri; Mrs. Harry (Norma) Gillham of Covina, California; and Mrs. Evelyn Pullen of Fremont and by 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Her husband, John, preceded her in death on September 1, 1954. Also preceding her were her parents; brothers, William and Henry; and sisters, Mary Scheer, Lena Stork and Anna Kruger.
