ALFRED H. DICKMEYER

Alfred H. Dickmeyer was born at Arlington, Nebr. on November 20, 1916. He was the son of Henry and Sophie (Plugge) Dickmeyer. Alfred was united in marriage with Ann Schlapfer in 1940. Ann passed away April 19, 1948. He married Gladys Rosenbaum on July 28, 1961. Alfred was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Arlington Commercial Club and was a retired member of the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department.

Alfred Dickmeyer passed away on Thursday, October 27, 1977 at Memorial Hospital in Fremont at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 7 days. He is survived by his wife Gladys, 3 sons, Ronald and Donald, both of Omaha; and Steven of Lincoln; his daughter Mrs. Larry (Sharon) Graver of Arlington; one step-daughter, Mrs. Robert (Vicky) Craig of Green River, Wyoming; 13 grandchildren and by two sisters, Mrs. Oscar (Esther) Scheer and Mrs. Wilbur (Irma) Grefe, both of Arlington. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Ann.

Organist, Mr. George Bluma. The Congregation will sing Hymn No. 276, “Come Unto Me, Ye Weary;” Hymn No. 587, “Asleep in Jesus! Blessed Sleep;” Hymn No. 210, “The Strife is O’er, The Battle Done;” Hymn No. 616, “Forever With the Lord;” The Choir will sing Hymn No. 200, “I Know That My Redeemer Lives.”
