Edna L. Metz, 80

Edna L. Metz, 80, of Blair, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at First Christian Church, 1133 N. 28th Ave., in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Edna Louise Metz was born Feb. 1, 1924, in Washington County to James and Anna Marie (Metzler) Daniels. She attended school in Blair.

On May 10, 1941, she married Willis Metz at Tekamah. Mrs. Metz worked for Crowell Memorial Home and, for the last 15 years, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home. She was a member of First Christian Church and a member of the Blair VFW Auxiliary.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Norman and Sandra Metz of Tekamah, Rolland “Kayo” and Ida Metz of Blair; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Daniels, Barnett, Mo.; three sisters, Anna McIntosh, Eloise Smay and Dee Ward, all of Blair.

She was preceded in death by her husband; granddaughter, Betty Jo Sprick; four brothers, Johnnie, Jimmy, Ray and Raymond; two sisters, Luella “Sis” Hoier and an infant sister, Ellen.
