John C. Kuhr Rites Sunday

John C. Kuhr, a native of this county, died in an Omaha hospital on Tuesday, December 22, after an illness of about five weeks’ duration.

Deceased was the son of the late Mrs. and Mrs. John Kuhr and was born on a farm in the Orum vicinity on July 18, 1879. He was never married.

Deceased leaves to mourn his departure, two brothers, George Kuhr, Jr., and Herman Kuhr, both of Blair; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Holstein of Kennard and Mrs. Lena Osborne of Blair. One sister, Mrs. *Hans Wrich, preceded him in death.

The funeral rites were held last Sunday from the Methodist Church with Rev. John P. Brooks officiating and interment under the direction of Chris K. Bendorf was made in the Blair cemetery.

The pallbearers, all nephews, were Merton Kuhr, Ralph Kuhr, Jack Kuhr, Roy Rahlfs, LaVerne Rahlfs and Elmer Holstein.
