ESTHER E. DIBBEN, 85

Services for Esther E. Dibben, 85 who died September 5, 1993 were Thursday, September 9 at United Methodist Church in Flandreau, South Dakota. Rev. Morris Nelson officiated. Interment was in Union Cemetery at Flandreau.

Esther E. Dibben was born August 19, 1908 on a farm in Brookings County, South Dakota to Samuel and Fannie Maxwell Carman. She received her education in a rural Brookings County school in the Elkton area.

She married Wallace F. Dibben at Madison, South Dakota August 1, 1929 and came to Flandreau where her husband was in the dairy business.

She was a homemaker and in later years worked for the B. T. Otey family.

In the spring of 1986 she moved to Maplewood, Minnesota. Since September 1, 1992 she had made her home in Newport, Minnesota.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Royal Neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wally on April 1, 1962; her parents, four brothers and one sister.

She is survived by one son and his wife, Darrell and Marge Dibben of Blair; two daughters, Rosemary (Mrs. Emmett) Aus, Cottage Grove, Minnesota and Adele (Mrs. Rod) Olssen, Oakdale, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three sisters, Ethel Varns, Dell Rapids; Irene Kjenslee, White, South Dakota; and Mary Justus, Chandler, Arizona.

Paul (sp) bearers were Doug Olssen, Rick Olssen, Joe Ahlers, Dan Dibben, Dave Dibben and Martin Parsley. Darlene Hemmer was organist. June Markuson was soloist.

Skroch Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
