MEN’S MOTHER DIES FRIDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Mae Diaz, 91, of Millard and formerly of Fremont, are Wednesday, December 3, at 10 a.m., at Bader-Rozanek-Lawson Colonial Funeral Home in Fremont. Elder Darrell Fitzwater is officiating.

Mrs. Diaz, a retired homemaker, died Friday, November 28, 1980, at Good Samaritan Center Nursing Home in Millard. She had been ill for two years.

She was born on February 28, 1889, in Tekamah, and had lived in Omaha since 1936. Mrs. Diaz was a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints.

Mrs. Diaz was preceded in death by three husbands, Dick Barnum, Charles Sweet and Joe Diaz.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Matt (Mildred) Wallersheim, Mesa, Arizona; Mrs. Mott (Ethel) Frady, Spokane, Washington; Mrs. Don (Darlene) Cunningham, Colon; and Mrs. Louis (Vanita) Villafuerte, Omaha; six sons, Clifford Barnum, Apache Junction, Arizona; Roland (Mike) Sweet, Fremont; J. D. (Jack) Sweet, Nickerson; Lowell L. Sweet, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Bob Sweet, Nickerson; and Raymond Diaz, Omaha; 37 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Bader- Rozanek-Lawson Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Burial is in Ridge Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in her memory.
