Alvina L. Potter, 82, of Blair died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Services were Monday at the Herman Methodist Church. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.

Mrs. Potter was born May 27, 1915, in Otoe County, Nebr., to John and Lena (Buckman) Hermann. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith in Avoca, Neb. On March 12, 1938, she married Glen E. Potter in Nebraska City, Neb. She was a beautician and operated a shop in her home for several years.

Survivors are two daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn Potter of Blair and Barbara and Morris Golden of Des Moines, Iowa; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Freida Forsberg of Arapahoe, Neb., and Sylvia Emmons of Omaha.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen in 1972; two sisters, Meta Rahlfs and Anna Knickman and two brothers, Bill Hermann and Harry Hermann.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
