Emmett Potter Died At Hospital Sunday, Aug. 18

Emmett Potter, a former resident of the Herman vicinity, died Sunday at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. He was ninety years old. He had been a resident of the Kelley Rest Home in Blair for a number of months prior to his death.

Mr. Potter was born in Quincy, Illinois December 16, 1878. He had moved to Nebraska many years ago and had devoted his active life to farming. His wife preceded him in death.

He is survived by three sons, Glenn Potter of Herman; Lester Potter, of Omaha; and Vernon Potter of California.

A brother, William Potter, lives at Winston, Missouri; another brother, Clyde, lives at Warrensburg, Ohio. Another brother, Bernard, is also living. A sister, Pearl, lives at Kansas City.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Zack Kleinsasser conducting the service. Burial was made in the Herman cemetery.
