On January 31, 1918, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Potter and they continued to make their home in Tekamah.

Ethel and Lloyd took it upon themselves to rear a young boy by the name of Harry McDonald, Jr. to a young man.

Ethel was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah.

Her husband, Lloyd, died on January 28, 1977.

Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews and many friends and acquaintances.
