DR. POUCHER, 61, DIES AT OMAHA

Prominent Mason, Frequent Visitor in Blair, Died Tuesday

Dr. John F. Poucher, secretary and general manager of the Nebraska Humane Society, former Methodist minister at Herman, and a prominent Mason, died in Omaha early Tuesday morning after an attack of pneumonia.

An active Mason, Dr. Poucher was a 33rd degree member. He served as past potentate of Tangier temple of the Shrine, past master of Kadosh of the Nebraska Consistory, was chaplain of the grand lodge from 1889 to 1900 and grand orator from 1911 to 1912. He was a member of the lodge at Stanton, being a past master, and frequently visited Blair to attend meetings of the local lodge. His last visit here was on Saturday, January 19, when he gave an interesting talk on visitors’ night.

For 25 years a Methodist clergyman, Dr. Poucher had served pastorates at Herman, Tekamah, Norfolk, Stanton and Omaha.
