Services for Clara Elizabeth Metzler, 95 who died October 11, 1993 at Good Shepherd Home where she resided for a week following a recent hospitalization will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 14. Rev. James McBride will officiate. Burial will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Clara Elizabeth Metzler was born October 12, 1897 at Leigh, Nebraska to Mathias and Margaret Iverson. In 1899, she moved with her family to a farm north of Blair.

She attended Kindred School and graduated from the eighth grade.

She helped her family with the farming until her marriage to Clyde Metzler on March 28, 1928.

They lived on the Bottom (north of Blair) where they farmed their entire married life except for one year when they lived on a farm near Kennard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde, who died May 30, 1968; he r parents; four brothers, William Iverson, Randall Iverson, Earl Iverson and Theodore Iverson and one sister, Pearl Iverson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ethel and Harold Sonderup and her grandchildren, Sandra, Paul and Judy, Jon and Lisa and one great-granddaughter, Jessica, all of Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
