Frances E. Metzler, 97

Frances E. Metzler, 97, of Blair, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services were Thursday, Dec. 22, at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel in Blair. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Frances E. Metzler was born Aug. 6, 1908, in Salem, S.D., to Theodore and Mary Louise (Herker) Bies. She married Earl Metzler on Dec. 20, 1927.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Cathy Allen of Aurora, Colo., two great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her only daughter; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; three sisters, and one brother.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair was in charge of arrangements.
