Fred J. Metzler Buried At Blair Saturday, July 18

Fred J. Metzler, a retired farmer who has lived in the area for many years, was buried at Blair last Saturday afternoon. He had died July 16th (Thursday).

Mr. Metzler was born in Burt County, north of Herman, on November 27th, 1884. He was 85 years of age and had been retired for a number of years. During his retirement he had lived in Herman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maude, and is survived by a daughter and a son, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The daughter is Mrs. Geraldine McKercher, of Blair and the son is Harold Metzler, also of Blair.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Zack Kleinsasser, of Herman, conducted the service and burial was made in the Blair cemetery.
