Donald Poulson

Funeral services for Donald E. Poulson, 61, of Blair, who died Friday, September 26, 1986, at his home, will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2 p.m. at Campbell Mortuary with burial in Orum Cemetery.

Poulson was born March 24, 1925, the son of Niels N. and Ella M. Poulson on a farm near Blair. They later moved to a farm near Orum where he grew up, then moving to Blair.

He served in the U.S. Navy and upon discharge farmed and worked for Blair City Schools until he was stricken with polio in August, 1950, which left him disabled.

He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and First Lutheran Church of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a nephew.

Survivors include: brother Niels Poulson, sister Lucille Poulson, sister-in-law, Wanda Poulson, all of Blair, nephew Gary Poulson and wife Susan of Sac City, Iowa, niece Sally Baertschi and husband Paul of Coon Rapids, Minnesota and great nephew and great niece, Alan and Alysin Baertschi of Coon Rapids, Minnesota.

Pallbearers will be: Jim Williby, Dennis Penry, Mike Cushman, Roger Petersen, Virgil Wrich and Arnold Burmeister.

Hononary Pallbearers are Paul Baertschi and Gary L. Poulson.
