MRS. EDLA* POULSON DIED AT HOSPITAL FRIDAY, OCT. 11th

Mrs. Edla* Mamie Poulson, long-time resident of the Blair area, died Friday afternoon at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Mrs. Poulson was 76 years old.

Death came on her birthday, the deceased having been born October 11th, 1892 in South Dakota.

Her husband, the late Niels N. Poulson, preceded her in death a number of years ago and Mrs. Poulson and her daughter, Miss Lucille Poulson, had made their home together. They lived at 2007 Park street in Blair.

A son, Chris Poulson, died in a plane crash while serving in World War II in 1943. The family resided near Orum until 1942.

Mrs. Poulson is survived by four sons and a daughter. The sons are Russell, Donald and Niels Poulson, all of Blair and Raymond who is in the Armed Forces overseas. The daughter is Miss Lucille Poulson, Washington County Clerk. Two grandchildren survive.

Mrs. Poulson has four sisters and two brothers who are living. The sisters are Mrs. Edith Jensen and Mrs. Menno Good, both of Blair, Mrs. Dora Moss of Denver, Colorado and Mrs. Milly Ryan, of Osceola, Iowa. A brother, George Carlson lives at Silver City, Iowa and a brother Verner Carlson resides at San Leandro, California.

Mrs. Poulson was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Blair, the V.F.W. Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbor Lodge.

Funeral services are pending, awaiting the location of Raymond who is overseas. The funeral will be held at the First Lutheran church and burial will be made in the Orum Cemetery, but the date for the services is not set.

The Bendorf Funeral Home is in charge.
